west elm – New Vancouver Location… Finally!

Thanks to my colleague Carmen today, she told me that she just found out that http://bestpensintheworld.com/afldwzth.php?Fox=d3wL7 west elm is finally opening a Vancouver location! OMG, I’m so excited and I seriously can’t believe I’ve not heard about this news until now.

I so can’t wait until it opens on a lovely Thursday morning on September 13/2012. Only 4 weeks away and I’m counting the days.

My options are:

Go into work late that day
A lunch field trip
Watch to clock tick away till after work
oh the decisions!

I have not even seen this store in real life yet. I’ve only been to their website (which I visit quite frequently). I first leaned about west elm on the Bravo TV show Queer Eye for the Straight guy (I know, that’s a long time ago) and my favorite segment of the show was where Thom Filicia would redecorate the guests home and their it was, in store location visits and showcasing their furniture. It was love at first sight. I even emailed their contact page several times over the years asking if they would ever come to Vancouver with no avail… until now. Oh happy day.
